Colleen Hart's Pizzelles
(Italian Snowflake Cookies)
Pizzelles
Qty Unit of Measure Ingredient
3 cups flour
2 tbsp baking powder
1/2 lb melted butter (cooled)
7   eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla / anise
1/2 tsp anise seed (to taste)
Directions:
Beat eggs till foamy; combine sugar until thick, add cool melted butter, add flour, baking powder, vanilla or anise. Let stand (cool) for 1/2 hour. Bake on a pizelle iron for 1/2 to 1 minute.
