George, the second son of John and Mary, was born about 1862 in Conneaut Township, Crawford County. He lived on a farm just north of the one his father owned. The two farms were separated by an intervening field. He did most of the work on his father's farm in later years prior to Martin's return. On June 22, 1910, he married Margaret Hurley Gourley, who had a son when they were married. George and Margaret had no children between them. George died in 1915 while working in the woods on his property.
